The beautiful concrete fountains have been around ever since the early Romans started making aqua ducts to supply water to their cities. Many concrete fountains have a statute in the center of a woman holding a pot with water streaming out. Today many concrete fountains made with different statutes in the center. The concrete fountain molds are easily obtainable online and whatever statute you might want to add is found available online. Making a concrete fountain is a bit time consuming but well worth the effort to make your garden or lawn look attractive.

When you decide to make your fountain using a concrete fountain mold you should concrete with aggregate. You want the type of works that will withstand all sorts of weather and remember your fountain will be holding water on a constant basis. The concrete fountain mold you use should be comparative to the mold you wish to use for your figurine. You may want to go fancy and make a large concrete fountain with little figurines all around it holding a spout of some sort letting loose water. This sort of fountain is containing many little fountains within the larger one. I saw a large concrete fountain with the center figurine that of a woman pouring water and all around her were little cherubs holding flutes and spouting out little streams of water in the bricked around pond. This was a very beautiful display of craftsmanship.

After you have purchased your concrete fountain mold then you should go to your local hardware store where you will find the supplies you need for your project. You may want to enlist the help of others since this is rather a big project to under go. You will need to clear the area of any brush or debris and possibly dig out your pond unless you already have a pond that you are working to improve. You should first build your outside wall of bricks and cast your concrete fountain molds of figurines before you start any assembly work. The longer your concrete fountain molds set the better they take the casting so if possible, I would have my figurines and bricks already cast before starting my project. The rest is easy take a trip to the hardware store, purchase your concrete mix, and follow the instruction on the bag in order to make your mixture. You will find that this project is time consuming but very rewarding.
